Is It Time?
Signs Your Pool Needs Renovation
Not sure if your pool needs work? Here are the most common signs it's time to renovate.
Rough or stained pool surface
Peeling plaster, exposed aggregate, or permanent discoloration mean the surface has reached end of life.
Cracked or loose tile and coping
Cracked waterline tiles and wobbly coping stones let water seep behind the shell, causing bigger problems.
Crumbling or uneven deck
Trip hazards, cracked concrete, and faded surfaces reduce safety and curb appeal.
Outdated or failing equipment
Old inefficient pumps, corroded heaters, and dated automation waste energy and money every month.
Persistent leaks
Dropping water levels, soggy spots in the yard, and rising water bills often point to plumbing failures below the deck.
Your pool just looks dated
Design trends change. If your pool feels stuck in another decade, a renovation can make it feel brand new.

Common Questions
Pool Renovation FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about pool renovation and remodeling.
How much does a pool renovation cost in Frisco, TX?
Pool renovation costs in the DFW area typically range from $8,000–$15,000 for a basic resurface to $40,000–$80,000+ for a complete remodel with new tile, coping, decking, and equipment. The final price depends on pool size, scope of work, and material selections. We provide free on-site estimates so you know exactly what to expect.
How long does a pool renovation take?
A basic resurfacing typically takes 1–2 weeks. A full renovation with tile, coping, decking, and equipment upgrades usually takes 4–8 weeks depending on scope and material availability. We provide a detailed timeline during your design consultation.
Can I add features during my pool renovation?
Absolutely. Renovation is the perfect time to add features like a spa, tanning ledge, water features, LED lighting, fire bowls, or an outdoor kitchen. Since the pool is already under construction, adding features during renovation is more cost-effective than doing them separately.
Do I need to drain my pool for renovation?
Yes, most renovation work requires draining the pool. Our team handles the draining, any necessary structural work, and refilling. We coordinate the timeline to minimize the period your pool is out of service.
How do I know if my pool needs resurfacing vs. a full renovation?
If the surface is rough, stained, or peeling but the tile, coping, and equipment are in good shape, resurfacing alone may be enough. If you're seeing issues with multiple components — cracked tile, crumbling decking, outdated equipment — a more comprehensive renovation makes sense both financially and structurally. We provide honest assessments during our free on-site consultation.
