Common Questions

Pool Deck FAQ

How long does a pool deck renovation take?

A deck overlay or coating takes 3–5 days. Full paver installation takes 1–3 weeks depending on the area and material. We coordinate with other renovation work to minimize overall project time.

Can you install pavers over existing concrete?

In many cases, yes. If the existing concrete is structurally sound, we can install pavers directly over it using a sand-set or mortar-set method. If the concrete is badly cracked or settling, removal may be recommended.

What is the most durable pool deck material?

Travertine and porcelain pavers are the most durable options — they resist cracking, fading, and staining for decades. Concrete overlays are a great mid-range option, while cool deck coatings are the most budget-friendly but may need recoating every 5–8 years.

How much does a pool deck renovation cost?

Cool deck coatings start around $4–$8 per square foot. Concrete overlays run $8–$15 per square foot. Travertine and porcelain pavers range from $15–$30+ per square foot installed. We provide free on-site estimates.
