Common Questions

Tile & Coping FAQ

How long does tile and coping replacement take?

Most tile and coping projects take 1–2 weeks. The timeline depends on pool size, the amount of tile being replaced, and whether coping is also being updated. We coordinate with resurfacing if both are happening together.

Can I replace just the tile without resurfacing?

Yes. If your pool surface is still in good condition, we can replace just the waterline tile and/or coping. However, if both need work, doing them together saves time and money since the pool is already drained.

What tile materials work best for pools?

Glass mosaic tile is the most popular for waterline applications — it's durable, easy to clean, and available in thousands of colors. Porcelain tile is another excellent option for its density and frost resistance. We recommend visiting our showroom to see samples.

How much does tile and coping replacement cost?

Waterline tile replacement typically ranges from $3,000–$8,000 depending on pool perimeter and tile selection. Coping replacement ranges from $4,000–$12,000+ based on material choice and linear footage. We provide free on-site estimates.
