Common Questions
Glass Mosaic Tile FAQ
Glass mosaic tile consists of small tiles made from glass, fused at high temperatures to create a dense, non-porous surface. The tiles are typically mounted on mesh sheets for installation. Glass mosaic is prized for its reflective qualities — it catches and plays with light in ways that ceramic and stone tile cannot, making it especially striking in pool and water feature applications.
Extremely. Glass tile is one of the most durable materials available for pool use. It is resistant to fading from UV exposure, unaffected by pool chemicals, and does not absorb water — which means it won't crack from freeze-thaw cycles. It is also resistant to staining and algae growth. Quality glass mosaic tile can easily last the lifetime of the pool.
Yes — Fujiva offers custom color blends and patterns that let you design a truly unique pool interior. You can choose from their existing palette or work with our design team to create a custom mix. Custom blends are popular for spa interiors, water feature walls, and decorative accents on pool steps and benches.
