Choosing the Right Pool Finish
The interior finish is one of the most consequential decisions you'll make when building or renovating a pool. It determines the color and clarity of your water, the texture underfoot, the maintenance demands, and how long the surface lasts before needing refinishing. Most homeowners don't realize how wide the options actually are until they sit down with our design team.
Standard white plaster is the industry baseline — clean, functional, and the most affordable entry point. But it typically lasts only 5–10 years, can feel rough after a few seasons, and is susceptible to staining. Pebble and aggregate finishes embed natural pebbles or quartz into the surface, dramatically extending durability to 15–25 years while adding rich texture and an organic look that plain plaster can't match. Glass bead finishes add a shimmering, luminescent quality — particularly striking after dark when underwater lighting catches the surface.
Glass mosaic and porcelain tile takes customization to a completely different level, offering thousands of colors and patterns for waterline bands, spa interiors, and feature walls. Pebble Finishes
Natural pebbles or quartz aggregate embedded in plaster for an organic, textured look. Extremely durable, resistant to chemicals and staining, and comfortable underfoot — one of the most popular upgrades for custom pools.
Glass Bead Finishes
Tiny glass beads mixed into the plaster create a shimmering, luminescent water surface — especially stunning under evening lighting. Smooth to the touch, vibrant water color, and a premium look at a mid-to-upper price point.
Standard Plaster
White or colored plaster is the classic pool interior — familiar, clean, and the most budget-friendly option. Works well for straightforward builds. Plan for refinishing every 5–10 years depending on water chemistry and climate.
Glass Mosaic Tile

Natural Stone Coping
