Common Questions

Pool Types FAQ

What type of pool is best for a small backyard?

Cocktail pools (also called spools) are designed specifically for smaller spaces. They pack spa jets, tanning ledges, water features, and LED lighting into a compact footprint — typically 10-16 feet — so you get all the luxury without sacrificing your entire yard.

What is the most popular pool shape in North Texas?

Geometric pools are the most popular choice in the DFW metroplex. Their clean, angular lines complement the contemporary architecture common in communities like Frisco, Celina, and Prosper. They also integrate seamlessly with outdoor kitchens and covered patios.

How much does a custom pool cost in Frisco, TX?

Custom pool pricing varies based on size, features, and materials. Most residential pools in the Frisco area range from $75K to $150K+. We offer free design consultations where we can discuss your vision and provide a detailed estimate based on your specific lot and wish list.

What is an infinity edge pool and does my lot need to be on a hill?

An infinity edge (or negative edge) pool creates the illusion of water vanishing over the edge. While elevated lots with views are ideal, our designers can engineer an infinity edge on most properties by creating a grade change. The catch basin is hidden below the edge to recirculate water.

Can I add a spa to my existing pool?

Yes. We can add a raised spa with spillover, an attached in-ground spa, or a standalone spa adjacent to your existing pool. We handle the plumbing, electrical, and equipment integration. Visit our showroom to see spa tile and finish options in person.

How long does it take to build a custom pool?

Timelines depend on your design, permitting, HOA approval and weather. Your proposal includes a project schedule.
